!! Please note!! Classwork assignments are NOT carved in stone.  Assignments may be adjusted so students need to pay attention to any changes made during class.  Time is alotted in class to complete assignments.

!!! MEMORIZE MULTIPLICATION AND DIVISION FACTS. IT MAKES SOLVING PROBLEMS FASTER AND EASIER!!!

11/17/17 Make sure to put all R&R papers in the 5th grade tray.

11/20/17 Next week we are working on adding/subtracting fractions and simplifying the final answer as well as remediating past SOLs.  The SOLs for remediation are 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, and 5.6.

When we come back from Thanksgiving break we will be focusing on order of operations.

We are currently on Unit 7 focusing on simplifying fractions.  Word problems of any sort are usually difficult for students, especially those who struggle with reading comprehension. Students may log onto Study Island or IXL to help master these skills or to reinforce what they've already learned. Also, look at the links provided for additional help/practice.

The unit test will be next Tuesday.  If you have any questions concerning that please contact me.

We have taken a test on single step and multi step word problems.  Remediation will continue this week.  Students may log onto Study Island to help master these skills or to reinforce what they've already learned.
